The Rajasthan government is to ban online betting and gambling.
The state will bring a bill in an ongoing session, in order to ban online gambling and introduce strict penalties, including jail term and fines, to those who will not obey.
The government, which considers online gambling and betting a social evil, has approved to amend the Rajasthan Public Gambling Ordinance 1949. The bill will be put on the table in house, soon.
The prevention bill of 2021 has strict provisions in order to stop online betting and gambling. Even those who gamble and run gambling dens will also be brought within the ambit of this new law.
