Singapore: Crypto platform used the name of its prime minister

Singapore’s prime minister, Li Hsien Loong, born in Singapore, who has served as Prime Minister since 2004, has revealed that a cryptocurrency platform was unknowingly using data from his Twitter account. Loong stated that a blockchain platform used these data without his permission or knowledge, in order to sell cryptocurrency.

The inventors of the site are anonymous, but I sent an open tweet to request them to remove my name and photo from the site immediately, as I have nothing to do with the platform,” he wrote on his Facebook account.

Everyone should be careful when dealing with cryptocurrency platforms. If you are dealing with entities that are not managed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, remember that you will not be protected by the laws that govern MAS”.
