NVIDIA limits crypto mining performance

NVIDIA’s new graphics card puts some restrictions on cryptocurrency mining. It is recalled that the company had issued some instructions for some problems that had been created in Windows 10.

 

With the launch of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, NVIDIA wants to impose severe restrictions on cryptocurrency mining. NVIDIA’s goal seems to be to prevent the use of its cards as much as possible to extract specific cryptocurrencies.

 

In addition to the initial Ethereum mining restriction set by NVIDIA, there is a block on attempts to mine other currencies such as the Ergo and the Ether Classic. Octopus and Raven have not been restricted yet.

 

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card had the ability to extract cryptocurrencies, but with the software upgrade this is no longer possible and may cause problems in the operation of the computer as a means of prevention.

The changes of the new update

Microsoft’s goal for Windows 10 is to create an operating system for PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones and Xbox One, as well as new product categories such as Surface Hub and Microsoft HoloLens.
